ESU Merger Update | April 21, 2021

In March 2021, all six Boards of Directors approved an updated Application for Consent to Amalgamate and filed it with the BC Regulator. The Regulator’s review of our Application can take up to six months to complete. We require regulatory consent before we can recommend the amalgamation agreement to you – our members – for your approval. The merger will not proceed without all six membership groups voting in favour.

Over the next several months you will see an increase in communications activity. For example we will be launching member information sessions – we hope that doing these in-person will be possible, if not, we will host interactive online events where we can share detailed information and solicit your feedback.

Our Exploring Strength and Unity website remains active and includes updated information. In addition, we are in the process of enhancing this site to be more user-friendly with current and regularly updated information.
